Applied Bioinformatics

In this course you practice the bioinformatics you have learned during your regular courses in the program. You also practice defining the problem and working in a project towards a specific goal. Projects are a part of ongoing research or development in academia or the industry and may include development of new tools or application of existing tools to solve biological or biomedicinal problems. The projects can contain gene expression analysis, population genomics or modelling of metabolic reaction pathways.

For most of the time you will work in a project group to plan and execute the project, but the course also includes written and oral presentations of your project and journal clubs.
