
Wide range of courses and freedom of choice
IBG offers one of the largest range of courses in biology, molecular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics. We offer programme courses, independent courses, evening classes, general education courses, several fully online courses, a number of summer courses, teacher training, and four advanced programmes. Information about programme courses can be found under each programme respectively.
Applications for courses
In order to apply for a course, you can visit "All courses" below. There you find information about when the course is given, the course code, and much more. Then visit www.universityadmissions.se, enter the course code in the search field and follow the instructions there. You can find more detailed information here.
We have started a collaboration with the Swedish University of Agricultrual Sciences, SLU to make it easier for students to take courses there. The collaboration is called U-Share and you can read more about the courses and other opportunities here.

Summer courses 2023
Bioinformatics on the web 5 hp - 1BG425
The aim of this course is to give an overview of bioinformatics. The course is completely Internet-based and all teaching will be performed over the Internet.

The individual courses can also be taken during the summer. In addition, Uppsala University offers many summer courses on many different topics. Most of these are given in Swedish, but some are given in English, and thus open to international applicants. For lists of possible courses, go to the Uppsala University Course search page. Choose English (Language of instructions) and Summer (Semester and period) in the filter to the right on the page. Instructions on how best to apply for the courses is provided by the respective departments.
