Ingela Frost 1960.07.09–2015.03.14

Ingela Frost, study director at Biology Education Centre, passed away Saturday March 14, 2015, after almost 5 years with malignant melanoma.
There will be a memorial ceremony that we will invite colleagues, students, family and friends to. We have a remembrance book moving between our two offices. Right now it is in the IBG office at BMC. It will be handed over to the family later on. Welcome to write something in it.

Memorial for Ingela

We held a memorial for Ingela on March 26. It was a calm and beautiful ceremony where we could meet and think about our dear colleague, programme director, study director and friend together. A poem that we think represents what Ingela would have like to tell us is this adapted version of Harry Scott Hollands poem:

All is well
I have only gone away into the next room.
I am I, and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak to me in the same way as you always used to
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Pray, smile, think of me
Let my name continue to be part of your everyday life
Put no difference into your tone.
Life is the same as it ever was
It continues in its way.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am just waiting for you, for a while,
somewhere very near.
All is well
