We have 13 student clubs, called nations, that date back to the 17th century when student came from all over Sweden and needed somewhere to live. These clubs have developed and now function as their own communities with restaurants, clubs, choirs, orchestras, sports clubs, all kind of hobby groups, residential buildings etc. only for students.
